In recognition of Joe and the Dandelion Collective’s efforts to bring much needed goods to the members of the Diné reservation during the pandemic, Joe was honored by having his ashes be interred within the walls of the Diné/Navajo Veterans Cemetery in Klagetoh, Arizona.

Many coup d’etat occurs in the history of humanity and there are differences between the one that happened in the U.S. on 11/10/1898 or others in Latin America. Negotiated coups like the Stroessner in Paraguay, the suspected one in Venezuela in 2026, or otherwise, they tent to undermine democratic values, the orden institutional and the subjugation of the population. Joey was born under a military regime and dedicated his life to inform, to provide with the tools to make meaningful decisions to protect the right of voters and the dignity of all people.
